FLEXIBLE DISC COUPLINGS

NORTHON flexible disc coupling, type FLX, have been designed to permit shafting between two engine. Type FLX its able to absorb shove and vibration; also its synonymous of security and guaranty shafting transmission even if we haven’t a perfect alignment with left or right rotation. It’s well known that it is virtually impossible to achieve perfect alignment, even more so to be able to keep it over time due to thermal expansion involving the structures concerned and the machine’s own foundations. FEATURES OF MANUFACTURE

- No torsional clearance, necessary for using on engine with a lot starts, stop and reversal of control
- No lubrication
- No maintenance
- High torsional stiffness
- Ability to work in every condition since -30° C to + 240°C
-Type FLX have the possibility to replace the elements blades without displacement of coupled machine- High rotation speed link its perfect balance.

BUILD
-Exclusive use of forged steel; also Type FLX can be build with alloy or inox steel or special steel link to purchaser request
-Blades elements are build with AISI 304
- Shank bolt it is ground
-Northon couplin type FLX have a standard hole; may be we can supply coupling with finished hole.
